Contact usAt Deps we make egg yolk powder with the use of fresh egg yolks that are separated in our factory. This egg yolk is spray-dried in thin layers and pasteurized. The created powder is usable for the process of making several sauces like mayonnaise. However, egg yolk powder can also be used in a bakery when different bakery-related products are made. Dried egg yolk powder contains a high amount of lecithin and the powder can be used as an emulsifier.
The main advantage of egg yolk powder is the long amount of time for which you can store it. When you open up a package of fluid egg yolk, you are advised to store the egg yolks back in the fridge directly. When it comes to our dried egg yolk powder, you can store the powder out of the fridge in a dry and a room temperature cabinet without problems. The powder can be stored away for 2 years when the package has not been opened. Another advantage of the powder regarding the fluid eggs is the low possibility of catching bacteria.
The dried egg yolk powder can be used for several dishes and sauces. You can use this powder to create sauces like mayonnaise, salad dressings and hollandaise sauce. Furthermore, the powder can ideally be mixed in bakery products such as donuts, cakes and sweet dough. Besides these applications the egg yolk powder can also be used in the process of making ice cream and noodles! Dried egg yolk powder is useful for a variety of different dishes and sauces and can be stored without the use of a refrigerator.
